A new begining, a plan for the future

Please consider taking part in the Liberty Web Project. If you have some webmaster skills and can maintain a website being a county coordinator or a state coordinator may be something you can do to thelp.

The goals is to organize all of the pro gun resources into a master list that is broken down by county, and state which are linked to a National Hub page. We want to make it easier for people to find reseources and to network with others in our fight to defend our rights in America.

State and County Coordinators control their own websites and their own information, forums, mailists, and boards. This is a grassroots up effort which makes it different than other groups and organizations that are organized from the top down.

Each county and State is encouraged to have their own boards and mail lists to improve networking in their county, there is a very real possibility that facebook and other social media may take a dim look at pro gun groups and close down that manner of communicating. Be prepared.

By organizing Special Projects pages we can avoid duplication of information, by working together we create in a sense a brand, our product is liberty, the benefit is freedom, a large part of what needs to be done is to educate people and counter the media terroism that is taking place as gun owners are assaulted on a daily basis.

Even if you cannot create and manage a website there is a lot of different things that you can do, data mining information and helping to find data for the websites is important, your group may organize a local courthouse rally, run a ribbon campaign, put together a presentation, the possibilities are endless.

Thee are 3,077 counties and 50 states, plus special projects, there is plenty to do for anyone that wants to be involved.

The first thing that each county should do is to create the following

1) Facebook page under community/causes that is open to the public and named after the county they are coordinating ie. KentLibertyWeb

2) Create a Facebook group of the same name that has membership that can be closed only to members that support the county chapter.

3) Recruit members and likes to the 2 new pages and encourage them to also like their State and the National Liberty web pages on facebook, and also to post the links on their timelines for both facebook and the webpages. Its all a part of the marketing.

4) Encourage people to do the same for any other facebook pro gun group on facebook, and to keep talking, networking, and hopefully working on local projects.

This is important because the search engines on the internet follow people, as an example if 1,000 people liked, posted, commented and linked a pro gun article on the internet or a website this helps propel that article higher in the search ratings, We want to be able to push pro gun sites up and push gun control sites down.

When people search about assault weapons we want them to find articles that give positive examples of gun ownership and where gun owners showed that a gun in the hands of a good guy made the difference. 3,077 webmasters can have an impact on search results.

5) Register a domain name, 1&1.com has a 99 cent registration for the first year and a free domain space to get you started. for county & state sites I would suggest the same name that is used on the facebook pages, remember we are creating a brand.

KentLibertyWeb.com as example for a Kent county page and the state initials such as AKlibertyweb.com for a state page. for about 30.00 you can register all of the other .net .org .us. .co .us websites so no one can subvert your web address.

Your group controls your domain, your groups and your website, this works only if it is a system of independent webmasters that work together.

6) Create a forum, it is easier than you think, simplemachines has a free forum that is easy to setup on your webpage.

7) Organize information and make it easy for anyone with questions to find a local person through your website, link your other groups to the website, you can create other pages, gun trading, information about hunting, as well as the activist pages for acting on and fighting gun control legislation. Help to organize and locate all pro second amendment information and resources on County, State, and National levels

8) Don't duplicate efforts we don't need 3,000 separate pages on how to write a good letter to the editor, we need one comprehensive collection with multiple ideas, there are some things that we need to speak the same or a similar message on, remember we are marketing.....plop plop and you know the rest. 3,077 webmasters linking to the same page brings us all up in the search results.

9) Pick a spokesperson, we don't need mountain mike telling reporters they like guns so they can kill things for fun. When there is a gun related incident you want a spokesperson that can seek out and engage the local reporters and represent your group that doesn't tell them that they can have your bullets first.

10) Document Everything If you have an organized and effective group and a for the lack of a better description a telephone tree when something happens in your community you can show up in force with recording equipment and document what is going on with pictures and video

11) Emergency Preparedness Look for HAM and CB operators to form an emergency group for communication should something happen to your other pages, forums, and websites.

12) Make a local plan only you and your group can really determine what projects your county group will be involved with and what you will ultimately do in a worst case scenario.

13) The advocation of violence and hate will get a site de-linked
